The Local Service Business’s 17-Point Checklist
If you run a local service business in Ireland, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping, tiling, you already know the phone rings. This is how you find out which ads, pages and searches are actually making it ring, and which ones are quietly eating your money while you are up a ladder.
Track the thing that actually pays you, the call
Forms are nice. Phones are the business.
How to get there
In Google Ads go to Tools then Conversions then New conversion action and pick Website or Phone calls.
Get the website measuring properly
GA4 set up once, correctly, then left alone.
How to get there
In Google Analytics go to Admin then Data streams, open your web stream, and check Enhanced measurement is on. Mark your leads under Admin then Events then Mark as key event.
Separate the good jobs from the time wasters
Not every lead is worth the same to you.
Check the tracking is honest, not flattering
Most broken accounts are counting the wrong things twice.
How to get there
In Google Ads open Tools then Conversions and look at the Status column and the Count setting on each action.
Count the free stuff too
Your Business Profile is often the biggest lead source you never measure.
How to get there
In your Google Business Profile, tap Performance to see Calls, Messages, Directions and searches, and add UTM tags to your Website link under Edit profile then Contact.
Make one decision a month with it
The bit most people skip.
You do the job. We’ll do the counting.
